Feb 2008 ISO Accreditation awarded to AWP IMPEX Romania.

Feb 2008 Introducing Production Control software as the first steps to ISO 9000 certification in Romania.

Feb 2007 Increased Romanina Production by adding two extra CNCs and introducing Sliding Head technology in Romania. 

Sept 2006 Added Aerospace customers to our client base.

July 2006 Setup Masack Laser cutting capabilities in Romania.

June 2006 Appointment of William Burke as Production Manager.

Jan 2006. Increased our Romanian Production facility to 10,000 sq. ft.

Nov 2004 Set up a

production facility in Romania in Nov’04 Currently 10,000 feet and growing.

March 2004 saw the long awaiting relocation to the purpose built, 20,000 sq. ft design and manufacturing facility on the recently established Oranmore Business Park. This move allows AWP to continue it’s growth in terms of customers, machining technologies and it’s investment in people. AWP’s Managing Director, Des Rooney commented “ This is a major milestone for AWP and was very necessary as we move towards new high
technology customers and markets”.

Feb 2004 Setup 3000 sq ft Manufacturing facility in Romania.

Dec. 2003 AWP launched its Environmental Policy, developed to ensure we minimise the effect of our operations on both the local and global environment.  We endorse the principle of environmental sustainability by using best practice to achieve ongoing reductions of waste, reuse or re-cycling of materials.

Nov. 2003 In November 2003 moved into new building of 25,000 square feet

Oct. 2003, AWP was awarded the “best of class” award from Aluminium supplier Alcola, Spain. Their spokesperson, Farouk Samrout said “ we have been dealing with AWP for many years and 2002
 was the best growth of any customer in Europe. We will be pleased to supply AWP for many years to come”.

May 2003 saw Mark O’Toole join AWP as Quality Manager with the role of merging the two quality systems and creating a new manufacturing tracking system for Quality Control.

Feb 2003, AWP purchased Creganna solutions aluminium extrusion business and through careful planning,
quickly merged this into the AWP operation, with the minimum of customer inconvenience. An added benefit of this takeover was the appointment of Joe Lane as Plant Manager, who worked previously with Creganna for many years.

July 2002 AWP achieved ISO 9001. 2000 approval for the manufacture of engineering components, light assemblies, Jigs and fixture services.
